Chacahua Surf House
Beachfront surf house run by owner-instructor Agustín (with instructor Xavier) — 30 seconds from the ocean. Rooms plus surf lessons and board rentals, a big board selection, and English-language instruction. Home of the weekly Friday pizza night.
DOMA — Resort
Four private little houses with kitchenettes and freshwater showers, beachfront near the main road arrival and walkable to town. WiFi available. The highest-rated stay in the village.
Casa Gitana Chacahua (Adults Only)
Adults-only beachfront hotel on the Isla, a 15–20 minute walk from the village. Rooftop infinity pool, Starlink WiFi, restaurant and yoga. One of the most polished stays in Chacahua.
Hotel Sanmara
Four-star beachfront hotel with a pool and A/C, a 5–10 minute walk to the village and surf. Known for whale-watching breakfasts and an on-site mixologist. The most upscale option in town.
Casa UwU Villas / Beach Club
Villas and beach club on the quiet far east side (El Corral), with a pool. Hosted by Sandra. A relaxed, upscale spot away from the village bustle. (Some booking sites wrongly list it far from the park — it is in Chacahua.)
Casa Laud Chacahua Isla
New family-run beachfront hotel a 10-minute walk from the main square, hosted by Alejandra & Armando and Irma & Oscar. Rooftop and home cooking, including vegan options. Warmly reviewed.
Cabañas Las Palmas
Modern cabañas on a quiet village street, run by Christian (who also owns La Isla), with on-site hosts Damián & Margo. A/C option, strong WiFi (video calls OK), shared kitchen, and in-room fridge and coffee maker. Highly rated.
Hostal Onahu Chacahua
Eco self-built hostel right on the beach near the surf spot (Calle Principal 77), hosted by Max & Alex (and dog Estrella). Family dinners plus fishing and surf trips. Warmly reviewed.
Cabañas Altamar
Beachfront cabañas an 8-minute walk from the main square, run by Diego and family. About 500 MXN/night with a hot-and-cold water fountain. The Lía del Mar café is 100 m away.
Cabañas La Isla Chacahua
On the beach near the boat drop-off, owned by Christian (who also owns Las Palmas). New rooms with A/C. Well reviewed, with some mixed recent service notes.
Porã Chacahua
Tipis and glamping on the far east side (about a 30-minute walk or 5-minute colectivo), run by three siblings from Guadalajara including María & Alex, with a volunteer community. Highly rated.
Terra Tipi (Rooms + Restaurant)
Central beachfront rooms above the popular restaurant, roughly 400–500 MXN. Home of the village’s most reliable WiFi (in the restaurant area). Enchiladas verdes, grilled shrimp, and a hammock area.
Camping y Cabañas de Charly Contreras
Budget cabañas plus camping close to the beach, run by Charly Contreras and family. Hammocks, an outdoor kitchen, and a fridge. A friendly no-frills option.
